Hope this helps

Normally the satellite wiring goes from the docking station to the living area TV ONLY. (I emphasize Normally). The cable TV is usually routed to EACH prepped TV station. (easy to split cable)In my rig a Palamino 32RCTS-6 I have cable hook up in the bedroom, basement and living room area but satellite only in the living area. It should be easy to tell. Where you are wired in each room if there is only one coax connector it most probably is Cable where there are two, one of them is satellite.

Thanks, that's what I thought it was going to be. Why can you not connect the satellite to the cable so it could work in the bedroom and basement as well? is there something that would prevent this from working correctly?

Does your 260RLD have a separate circuit breaker in it for the charger/converter?

I do not have the full answer to that and wonder about that as well. Others will tell us about different cables transmitting different frequency's. In reality when I built my home and had it wired with coax there was no distinction between cable & satellite. Both technologies work with the same wiring in my home. I am sure someone more knowledgeable than us will speak up. Since my rig is only warranted until July, I wanted to make sure my Sat wiring in my rig was good. So last week I strung together 120 feet of coax, took my receiver from my house into the rig. First I hooked directly to the TV to make sure I could even get a decent signal with that length of cable. Than I hooked up in the bay and all worked well. I was using just pieces of coax I had laying around joined together with barrel connectors. Talk about jury rig, and it worked fine.

So, sorry I cannot answer your question, but don't worry we will get plenty of answers. That's why this forum is so great.

I thought of one additional item. There might be problems hooking up to the cable wiring because splitters are used. I do not think you can split a satellite signal very easily. This might be the answer.

Here's the pics donzie, main tv and bedroom tv. In the top pic is tv hooked up to the antenna with signal booster and 12v connection. Next is outlet then hook up for cable from campground. The second pic in bedroom works off cable or antenna.

Thanks Crabby. I guess the one on top is the cable/antenna one with the 12v cig outlet on top and the booster button.

David. As for splitters and satellite, not so good. I have satellite home and I have a 16 way splitter and it is powered and very expensive to replace. Did not think of splitters on the cable/antenna side but I guess they would have to get one in feed in the UDC out to three locations. So I would have to run a second satellite feed if I wanted it in the bedroom as well. Have to see how or if there is a way to snake it down to the UDC and add a second line in from the Second LNB on the dish.

Crabby, did you see my post about the separate circuit breaker for the charger/converter? Starting to feel like a pest but you are my eyes right now and I do appreciate it.

No I didn't. Let me check. Pest, no way, just as long as you don't mind waiting a little while for a reply.

Ok I just checked and can't find what you're referring to. Mine is just one piece, circuit breaker charger/converter all in one.

Also does yours have the round skylight with LEDS circling it?

Inside the electrical panel/Charger/Converter there should or could be a circuit breaker to turn on/off the power to the charger/converter. Does yours have one. I know my old rig has a separate one for the A/C, Microwave, Hot Water Heater and the Charger/Converter. As for your question, "Also does yours have the round skylight with LEDS circling it?" not sure what you are talking about with this one?

I'm leaning towards a no but I haven't been out there today. I'll check soon.

Just checked. There is not a switch to turn the converter on or off.

That's the Shasta Phoenix with the LEDs around the skylights! I love that!
