Crusader 290RLT tank capacity

Picked up a new Crusader 290RLT today and during the checkout I found out that there is a third tank for the galley water. What are the capacities of the black, grey and galley tanks? Specs only show the black and grey.

Checking their web site I see that the capacity of your grey is 70 gallons. I believe that is a total of both tanks. They are probably 35 gallon galley and a 35 gallon bath water tanks.

If I'm wrong, I'm sure RV Guy will correct me when he sees this post.

Thanks rracer5, I hope the splits for the tanks aren't 35 and 35. I would rather have a larger tank for the shower than have the same size tanks with one for the galley and one for the shower. We don't have that many dishes to do.......and the kids are way too big for baths in the sink.

We'll see if RV Guy chimes in, if not I might make a call...

Thanks again.

My 303RKS TT also has a galley tank but, no separate dump valve so the tanks will equalize during use. That's why PT list the gray capacity as one total. If you have a separate dump valve for your galley tank then yes, I would want to know the capacities of both.

Called PT and got an answer on the grey water tanks.

one 35 gallon grey water tank (shower and sink)
one 35 gallon galley tank (kitchen sink)

Good news, the grey water (shower) tank will flow over into the galley tank at approx the 2/3 full mark.

There are two dump valves, one for each grey water tank.....

That's cool. So the 2 tanks would have to be interconnected with a pipe at 2/3 full mark. I like that idea. I have 2 grey tanks (78 gal, guessing 39 each) and I'm pretty sure they don't connect.

PT called me today to inform me that I was misinformed yesterday......

The two tanks, galley and grey, are not connected in any way. The galley tank will not flow over into the grey tank. They are two seperate independent tanks with their own drain valves. Dang it. That's a lot of dishes.

Hmm, that's odd my 303rks has 2, 1 for galley and 1 for shower. Maybe a change for 2012?

te4 - I apologize you got the wrong info from our Service Department. They confused the design with that of a LaCrosse. I saw your post and informed them of their mistake and asked them to call you. Yes, I guess to some that's funny, but I'd rather do everything we can to give you the right answer. Sorry for the inconvenience.

PTM
