Crusader 295

Our friends have a 295 Crusdader, believe it is a 2013 model as the frig. is different that our 2011. The unit does not have an external drain hose for moisture control. The drip tray has to tbe drained manually over the sink. This is new to us, can anyone help me out here. Also, their oven will not stay lit when use. Each time it goes out, you have to re-light the pilot light to get it going. A few minutes later, the flame once again goes out???

I have a 2013 Crusader and lived in it for 7 months while building a new home. I never experienced any problem with the refrigerator or oven. Sounds like the thermocouple in the oven is defective or not aligned with the flame causing the gas to shut off.

Both those issues should have been dealt with under warranty if they had existed all along. If they are new, then for the fridge, pop the vents on the outside of the rig and look for the drain hose to be sure it is in place. If it is, perhaps it is plugged.

Oven may still be in warranty. Remember the appliances have longer warranties than the rig itself. Worth a Google search on the model to see how long. The fridge drain hose needs to either be replaced or it is zip tied to the back of the fridge.

Check the outside lower vent, pop it open there should be a drain hose for the fridge, make sure the cap on the end of the hose is open / loose so it can drain, and feed it back through the vent so it drains outside. (cap is used to keep critters from entering drain tube) sometimes they are pusshed in tight.

My 2015 260 RLD had a drain pan for the fridge too. I took the hose and routed it to the outside of the. The drip pan is in the outside fridge compartment. This pan will fill up and end up spilling when you haul the trailer. I just routed through the door so it drains outside the compartment...like most rv's do.
