I am prewired with breaker-I will put it in some time this year.

How hard are they to install and I assume the wiring is over the bed where you have to pull out the Fan? I am not familiar with the wiring so may have someone with experience with this help me.

Do you have a 50AMP service. If yes look and see if you have the extra breaker in the box? If yes it should be prewired already in the MB ceiling where the vent is located. If you have a fan there most of them run on 12volt and you would need to put a wire in-not fun. Not a hard install if the wire is there-only 2 wires and maybe a ground. Need two people to get air unit on roof-weight aprox 100lbs. Good luck.

I have 50AMP but not planning on doing this myself at all, going to get an RV tech who is familiar with Crusaders to put in the Atwood 13.5 system with wireless remote

The outside temp is shown under the tv. It was 86 outside.

Just wanted to update on my self inflicted problem with my 15K AC. I took the advice of several OP and started to use my AC early with the fan on high and all the window shades pulled down . It kept my RV 8 to 9 degrees cooler.

On our way home from Florida we stopped at a campground in Wildwood, Florida and our site was under a tree. I did the same as mentioned above to keep the RV cool. It got to be 91 outside and the RV stayed 78 inside. I'm sure the tree helped. I'm done ranting about out AC.

I was looking at Dometic but bad reviews on noise. I am going to install a Coleman sometime this summer. Penguin is just a sleeker design that you pay more for-good idea if you have a full height profile 5ver and installing in the bedroom.

Yeah I have read mixed reviews on all of them but best Price point I found was on Atwood AirCommand 13.5 with Wireless Remote and you can use your smartphone to control it. Atwood is now owned by Dometic so I am looking more towards this model, not as nice looking but I am only 11'5" High so I can still clear by only adding 3" of height

My 260rld is the same height as yours. I believe there are some 5vers out there that are more than 13' tall so I don't think a full size unit will matter. Do some research on max height. Colemans are well built and simple to operate-I like that. Good luck.
