Crusader 335BHS radio reception

Probably not just me, but the reception on both radios is quite poor especially the sound bar. I installed an amplified indoor antenna on the shelf under the tv for the sound bar but not much improvement. Has anyone installed an external antenna?

I added a piece of wire from one end to the other on the crappy antenna( the one thats in the nose of the trailer) also tried to stretch it out as much as I could, It helped but still not real good, I've been tossing around adding a roof top radio antenna but still haven't.
I did buy a set of OEM speakers that are used in the front bedroom and added them to the kitchen area, I tied into the wires going to the speakers and ran the new wires through the AC duct to the middle of the trailer, much better and I never use the sound bar as a radio.

On my Lacrosse I added a splitter and connected to the tv antenna.
Works good for fm and the am side still sucks.

Great Idea. I'm going to do that since I don't use my TV antenna with the Satellite dish on the roof. Thanks

Hi,

I stumbled on the idea of clipping a long dangling wire from the exterior antenna stick -- all the way to the ground. It greatly improved my AM reception.

FWIW.

Unfortunately I have no exterior antenna stick.
