Crusader owner

Just saw a Crusader in little old Gillette Wy, Saskatchewan plates. First time I've seen a Crusader other than mine.

Saw one in Fort Davis State park in Texas over spring break. Talked to the couple who had it. They loved it.

We have a 2012 260RLD and love it! Have had no issues with it. We are going on vacation in a couple of weeks. We have a 3 day family reunion in Branson Mo then 1 week at Beaver Lake Ar then 1 week at Lake Catherine Ar. The Crusader is A great Unit but we are biased. And it is our first trailer as well.

270 RET Crusader

We took delivery of a 270RET back in November 2012..had some issues, but Forest River came through for us: RVGUY..we are looking forward to getting it back on the road, have only had one camping experience thus far...our big trip will be to Gulf State Park come July 27th.......have not had the opportunity to say we love it yet...still working on that...but we are really trying...nice to have all the bugs out of it and now able to add the little things like LED Lighting etc;

Tried to remove the Sendel (#S1050-16S-1 ) lug nut covers, off my wheels to check lugs. Operating manual said to use "key" to remove covers. This "key".....is it a special key or is it just a screw driver??

Covers

Use a screwdriver, but make sure the notch goes back on in exactly the same place..I actually painted a red paint mark on the notch and the cover just to make sure....if you don't the darn things will break very easy..so be sure to follow these directions...I now have a complete new set of covers for mine..Also, when you get the cap off, the small center cap snaps on to the larger one...get some super glue and put it on the small tabs that are sticking through the larger base cap....mine all came off along with the hub cap...just a couple of notes to help you out..

New Crusader owner

Bought our first fifth wheel. In less than 24 hours we bought the Crusader 260RLD and the 2011 Ford 250 diesel FX4 while on vacation in Florida. Received great trade-in prices and rebates from both dealers. Made two stops on our return trip to Chicago. The wife loves everything except the smaller freezer. Only problem is the the door latch and dead bolt are not lined up correctly. You have to slam the door. Have appointment for next week to get fixed.
Our two sons love the truck.

I have rims like this. My 4-way just fits into the lug nut wells, almost to tight. Just wondering what someone with the same rims use, to remove the lugs? My last question is, do any of you ( Crusader owners ) have toppers for your slides? If so, what do you like or dislike about them?

Socket

Use the correct socket and a breaker bar...the side walls are a little thinner..
Did you not get the grille that fits on the rear bumper? Noticed it was missing in your photo?

Thanks, Crusader! This looks to me like a great idea to keep rain &etc. out of the switch! Would you mind giving me the SKU number at the supplier? They have several different models...
