Crusader "Scare" light failure.

I'm not a fan of leaving the outdoor lights on at night. But last night there was a need to leave it on for a couple hours.
After 2 hours on, I returned and found the light not on. Entered the RV and the switch was on, so I'm assuming the bulb was bad and burned out.

So, my question is has anyone exchanged these particular light bulbs for a LED bulb?

Yes, an led can easily be installed in place of the bulb.

good luck on that one....bulb went on my previous Flagstaff so I proceeded to replace only to find I had the tedious job of digging out the sealer from each of the screw holes to get the cover off. Probably why I've put off doing it to my present rig.

PT must be using quality light bulbs, my burned out within the first 3 months of ownership.

Only had 4 screws to remove to get to the blown out light bulb. No problem with any type of sealer, did notice that the lens had a rubber gasket to keep moisture out.
Replaced burned out bulb with a new LED bulb at a cost of $20.
So far it works great and I would highly recommend going with LED bulbs. It just has to last longer than a two hour operation!

In the Florida Panhandle in our Crusader for a few weeks whilst our Kitchen in the house is being completely remodeled.
Our bulb blew yesterday after being here for a week, and to be honest I think we've hardly used that light since we bought the 5er in 2014.
I had no issue getting the lens cover off - just the 4 screws. I have to say that when I saw the bulb it just looked like a standard 12V car headlight type with a bayonet fitting so I got a replacement from a local hardware store. Never thought about an LED version - didn't even know you could get them - DUH!!! http://www.forestriverforums.com/for...s/confused.gif

My led awning light and front door light burnt out 2 weeks after I purchased my toyhauler. The led rope light took a month to arrive for replacement. As EXGMTech said, good luck, the door light has sealant in every nook and cranny of the screw housing.
