Crusader sewer hose storage?

Where are you guys storing your sewer hoses? I need somewhere to store my rhino hose. I am tired of throwing it in the bed of the truck.

Has anyone installed the PVC storage tube for your hose? If so where did you install? Clamped to the rear bumper looks easiest but I think the white PVC hanging back there may look too tacky for a such a nice looking trailer (we have the champagne I guess it is called trailer)

CW has a 6" black round tube with brackets that you attach under the belly. has two end caps. I bought one and put it just under past the skirt can't even see it. I think I payed 32.00 bucks or so. They also have it in white, but I can't even notice the black under there. It hangs down no lower the your landing gear. You would rip your landing gear off before that.

Crusader sewer hose storage?

I installed mine under my trailer. Someone else did that and painted their's black. I think I'll do that. I used a 5X5 pvc fence post with end caps. I can store a 15 foot rhino flex on one side and a 10 foot extension on the other.

In the 4X4 bumper I store a 6 foot folding step ladder.
Works out great.

6" dia? Nice. Much better than the standard 4" pvc pipe from home depot. With the 6" pip can you store the 90 deg. elbows as well?

Jwedell.

Did you say you store a ladder inside your bumper? Did you mean on the bumper?

That's a pricey ladder, but sure are nice, lot better then the bed of the truck or hanging it off the rear ladder of the unit.

I have a 6" sd26 sewer pipe with threaded caps at each end attached with beam clamps to the frame. I chose 6" because you can get the elbow in with the hose.

That is nice. I like the idea of keeping the elbow attached to it as well.

That is the best thing I ever saw. At $100 it is a bit pricy.

Yes it is but I've had it for 8 years now and it's paid for itself over and over.

I'm kinda half way being sarcastic, and half way not...but how does a ladder pay for itself (considering there is one attached to the trailer already)? In other words, what do you use it for?

I guess I shouldn't assume that all trailers have built in ladders.

My current trailer SC 226RBDS does not allow a ladder to be installed. On all my previous trailers it allowed me to clean off the leaves and branches from the slide outs, clean the windows outside, get the bugs off the front cap. Make adjustments to the awning, and other repairs and maintenance when I wanted to. I guess it didn't make me any money but for me it was well worth it. So far on average it cost me $10.00 per year.

That makes perfect sense. Between our RV having a built in ladder and the fact that we are not full time and park it here at our house, it was a struggle for me to see the need.

And now back to our show!

I went with a 5x5 fence post for sewer hose storage. It allows several layers of gutter and the fittings to all fit inside. I put our sewer flush hose's (10' & 15') and a fire poker in the rear bumper.

Thanks for all of the input guys. So, do you just use super long u-bolts to attach to the cross members? And these square metal posts, where are you guys getting these? Do the big box stores carry them?

1/4 inch threaded stock, big box or just a local hardware store should have it.

You may need to heat the stock some so it will bend easy so be careful so as to not get burnt.
