Crusader270RET

Recently we were at our local RV Show here in Atlanta. Several of the new Forest River Products had a neat little heater vent in the Cargo Compartments Heat Plenum Duct. From the photo you can see where this vent is located. None of the Crusader 270RET have this little vent which I find a great idea for keeping that area warm as advertised. If possible I would like one of these if at all possible, how about you other 270RET Limited Production guys/gals??

I have one on mine. Of course it's a 14 crusader though. It's part of the heated basement and underbelly stuff there doing with all new RV's. Should be too hard to add something similar if you really wanted!

Addition

Our coach was advertised as having a heated cargo area enhanced heating to the holding tanks etc; There is not outlet out of the plenum to accomplish that, adding this little vent would solve that problem. Sure I can find something similar, but being purest would like for it to be like the newer models, sure Forest River can find one lying around somewhere!

Give prime time a Shout. They are very helpful and can tell you if it was suppose to be included or not. I'm sure they will send you one if it was suppose to be there.

Not sure I am asking this in the right forum. Sorry if I'm not. New to the site. I am trying to figure out how many grey tanks are in my 260RLD Crusader? Is it 2 35 gallon tans or 1 70 gallon tank? If there are 2 is there a valve between the 2 before it gets to the dump connection? Another silly question is where the tp holder is located? Never recall seeing it on any wall near the thrown.

Most mfg don't put toilet paper holders in anymore. They leave it up to the end user to install it anywhere they want. I think they were getting feedback from owner that thought they should be placed elsewhere so they stopped doing it all together. As far as the 2 gray tanks..... I know on my 315 it has two gray tanks. One galley for kitchen sink and one for shower/bathroom sink. They advertise it as like 70 gallons but there actually two 35's. I would be willing to bet your is too.

I read some place that there is a valve in between the two that the dealer did not tell the guy about. Any truth to this that you know of?

Never heard of that. What would be the purpose? To equalize the tanks? I see no benefit in that either.

No tp holder. Check in front of the tire on the drivers side. The galley tank pull goes through the frame there.

Thanks for all the help. I'm sure I will have more questions. I own it but it's still in NJ and I'm on Long Island waiting for the snow to go away so I can get my old one out that I traded in for my new one. Only about another 14 inches to melt or wash away with the rain.

Another question. I have DirecTV that I hook up to my one tv in my old rig. Is there a way to hook it up to my new 260RLD and have it work in both the living room tv and a bedroom tv with one receiver?

Not if you want to watch separate shows in the living room and bedroom. I just bring 2 receivers from home.

I've seen on this forum discussions on some sort of remote antenna for relaying your remote control signals if you still want to use one receiver.

We would only watch the bedroom TV when we actually go to bed so both being connected to one receiver is not a problem. My thing is how would I do it so I am not running any extra coaxial cable. I know i have a cable in and a satalite in connection in the docking station. I also know i have another connection in the pass through for an out door TV. I imagine that is either cable or satellite out. So how can i do it?
