Digital Thermostat Setting

I've had the tt plugged in the last couple of days so I could run the AC. Temps have been in the mid 100's and I wanted to see how well it would cool the tt. Even with the tt under cover the AC has ran constant during the day.

The fan AUTO setting runs the fan on LOW whenever the actual room temp is within 4º or less than the set thermo temp. The LOW fan setting can't keep the tt cool in these temps.

So the AC fan automatically switches to LOW when it gets within 4º of the set thermo temp, but the temp will rise above the 4º difference with the fan on LOW, so then it will switch back to HIGH, cool back down etc..., but it will never reach the set thermo temp when back on LOW.

This morning I set the fan to HIGH and it is keeping the trailer much cooler so far. Of course the fan runs constantly now, but the AC compressor does cycle on and off.

Right now the outside temp is 103.8º. I set the thermo at 78º. The living/kitchen area, where the AC is located, is at 76º and the front bedroom is at 79º. The thermo is located in the hallway close to the bedroom.

Just thought I would post this info just in case it might help some of you experiencing the same in these hot temps.

Mine is working hard too, with 30+ days of 100 or better, runs alot to keep up with the heat. We set it on 77/78 and on high during the day and 69 or so at night on low, it gives the A/C a break...hehe!!

Gary, last winter you sent several of the cold spells and snow this way. Now you are doing it with the heat. How about turning that big fan OFF !!!!

You probably meant LOW 100s, as you would not be here to talk about it..

Geez, it just ain't a supposed to get that hot here. This is not the desert southwest, Florida, or the plains. This is the Virginia Blue Ridge moutain foothills.

That was the maximum for the day, I hope. It is down to 102 right now.

It's not very often you hear on the radio that the 4:00 AM temperature had cooled down to 90 degrees.

We left the N.E. Oklahoma FROG Rally a day early because of the heat. When we got home at about 5pm the temp was 104.2º. I guess we jumped out of the skillet into the fire!
