I have sent along the pictures of my nose cap and this is what I got back from PT:

XX,

What I see in the pictures lookslike oxidation. It’s important to use cleaner wax at least once a year tomaintain the shine. We also recommend an automotive wax be applied; insome areas it may be necessary to apply the cleaner wax more than once ayear. I would start by using a cleaner wax to remove the oxidation andthen follow with a good wax. This should take care of it. Youmay ask your local boat repair what products they use.

I hope that this helps.

About time, glad to hear. Exactly how my situation went down.

Man, I don't get it. Some people are able to get PT to cover the work, others can't. Something isn't right. Damn shame.

Crabbyguy I know. That said, I am by no means done. I am a persistent guy when I need to be. I will do as they ask and document it and then go from there. I will hold them to what I believe they need to be held responsible for. They have ALWAYS been very reasonable to deal with and Shane has went above and beyond for me. I have faith they will do right by me. Luckily mine is not progressing that fast nor is it even noticable from the ground as of yet.

That is how mine started...small spots in the center/upper cap & near the clearance lights... a few months out of warr...then it spread fast over the summer even after several coats of marine wax.
I owe my action with PT to the rep I spoke with @ the RV show...he really kept his promise & got action.

Ugh, that is definitely NOT what I wanted to hear, but it is what it is. I'll keep a very close eye on it.

I agree. It happened fast. Last year nothing, this year WTF? Like a cancer. Newfie, good luck I hope it all works out.

As for the two year fac. warranty, mine runs out next month. Maybe I made it under the wire.

2 year warranty? I thought PT Crusader only had 1. I am just out of warranty also, but I still do feel that if mine gets worse which it seems like it will that PT will pitch in. We will see I guess.

Crusader only has a one year warranty

The extra year from Forest River is not offered on the Crusader models 😞

Newfie, You got the same first response i did from FR. if you continue to put pressure on them and your dealer you may get a different response. Mine they sanded it and clear coated it. would have rather had it repainted but felt i was pushing my luck.....Turned out great and did not cost me a penny. Not sure how long it will last.....
