Maybe you can talk them into leaving the logo off under the radar.....
Picked up mine yesterday and it really looks good, i would be lying if i am not a bit concerned that it will happen again, but enough worrying about it. my dealer told me that i am lucky that FR is denying a lot of claims. I am looking at it this way, got my 150 dollars back and then some from the purchase of the 2nd year warranty. Good luck to everyone else.

I spoke with a Prime Time rep at my local show this past wknd and he pulled some strings to get me a phone call from FR stating they're going to make my unit right. WAHOO!!!! Was advised to contact my selling dlr to schedule an appointment. Now I'm told my dlr is no longer doing the repairs due to a disagreement between them & FR on how the process should be done! I'm back to square one again!!! I knew this was too good to be true!

Don't give up, that's basically how mine went down. Talk to the FR guy again since they said they're going to make it right. You deal with TS in Hamberg?

Looks like we're in the same boat. I'm supposed to drop it off this coming weekend to the place closer to me instead of TS. I'll keep you up to date.

A detailer told me it is a painted fiberglas with a clearcoat. Not gel coat. So which is it a painted suface with clearcoat or a painted surface with gel coat? And is it the paint that's bad or the coating over the paint?

If it's factory and solid color, its most likely gelcoat.
You can also take some rubbing compound and rub it and if it leaves color on the towel. Its gelcoat or a single stage paint, but most likely gelcoat.
If its base, clear paint, when you rub it with a compound it will not show any color on the towel.
If you're having oxidation problems on a 2012 camper, im 99% sure its not a base clear paint, but a gelcoat.

Oh and you can't really gelcoat over paint without sanding the paint. So no manufacturer would do it....to time consuming.

Tried rubbing compound...no color transferred to the cloth so it is not gel coat?

Hard to tell without any pics or eyes on the cap.
If you were in the oxidized area it will just come off the oxidation color. Gelcoat is quite hard so it may take a very course compound to get any color to show.

Some actual pictures of the cap, close ups of the oxidation, colored area and where you used rubbing compound.
Also maybe a pic of the compound, not all of them are as effective as others.

Product called Vivilon. A restorer of badly oxidized gel coat that brings back original color. Has anyone checked this possible remedy to the fade problem? It is expensive and should be applied by a pro.

It looks like my 295 has fell victim to the oxidation issue as well. What is the 'official' word from PT? I will be reaching out to them anyway just to see what they are willing to do for me. Pictures attached.

I uncovered the 5er this weekend, it is exactly 2 yrs since delivery and this is the fade progression... pretty sad. Not good advertising for PT. I've spoken with numerous PT reps and still waiting on a call back.

My new dilemma is we're taking it to our seasonal site this weekend where it will stay the year.....I could always pull it out for a week or so but I've heard horror stories of dealers keeping units for months.

I am not a paint expert and don't want to sound like a p...k but is that paint fade or paint rub off from cover?

They're not painted, it's gelcoat...and it looked like that when I covered it in the fall.

wanna65stang, look at others pictures with the same issue. In my case I've never used a cover.

Mine isn't covered and looks the same way. It spreads fast too. 22 months and there it was.
