Does anyone know the wire gage for 12 volt cigarette plug behind the TV? 2018 315RST

Trying to install a small 8 inch sub behind but need a 8 gage 12 volt positive. Thoughts?

Can you feed a wire from the battery to behind the TV which is on a slide?

Some of your fellow campers at the campground will not like this!! But, if you are going to the dunes with like minded friends you will enjoy it.

Once you get the wire pulled to the battery you will need a stout converter to keep up with that amperage draw. There should be a movable wire-way under the slide to route the wire.

Make sure the unit is well grounded. If not it could mess with the rest of the electronics. I would tend to run a separate ground (neutral) at least to the frame.

How much current does the amplifier inside the sub-woofer draw?

It draws 20 amps and my intent is not to play loud just to round out listening to music softly.

A sub can be placed anywhere there is room. It may be easier to place the amp and/or sub in a non-slide location.

Yea I think it will be easier to just buy a 110 plug in small sub and locate it beside the entertainment system and forget about 12 volts.
