Actually, that particular solenoid doesn't have a reference designator. I believe all BJ's are jumpers; at least according to the ref designator box. Anyway just thought I would comment.

Your right. I tried to show a better view of it by copying a portion of the sheet 5 pdf but it would not work, sorry. It is located in a compartment behind the rear tires on the passenger side along with those big fuses and 12 volt circuit breakers.

Does battery charge with disconnect flipped?

I've seen this question in the past. May be different for motor homes. Our 3171 will charge with the coach battery disconnect in the off position when the main engine running or on shore power. I know, I have checked with a volt meter.

I do not doubt that is a way a MH works, but my question to you is why have a disconnect? Maybe storage?...I know mine will not charge with the disconnect pulled. But I did have parasites that I put SPST switches at, because they would drain my batteries even with the disconnect off....

You are right. apparently a lot of loads on your coach work with the disconnect pulled. Strangely your converter/inverter is always live, which is kinda strange, but I guess that was the only way to make the converter work with the disconnect off, but it is prone for discharge if the inverter is left in the on position.

Yes, storage but some items still require monitoring due to their nature (safety perhaps). Also I believe there is a legacy reason for the disconnect in that when shore power is available to prevent over charge and boil out. Of course this is not necessarily an issue due to todays converters. JMO

I would add,If the Disconnect is "Wired Properly" your battery will power "Nothing" and will NOT take a Charge! Youroo!!

I am totaly confused by this discussion about battery disconnect. If the disconnect switch is switched off NOTHING should work Period. If stuff still works the disconnect is not a disconnect, if you cut a wire the current will not flow no matter what. if some manufactures are putting disconects in that dont disconnect ,they are just wasting time and money. IMHO

It really depends on where in the line of things the disconnect switch falls. If there are items connected to the battery that are in front of the switch, then those will work regardless if the disconnect switch is on or off. In addition, if the line charging the battery is in front of the switch, then the battery would charge regardless if the switch is on or off.
