E Stone Countertop

The rounded front edge of our E Stone countertop in front of our sink has started to flake off. Our rig is out of warranty but I wondered if the E Stone came with some kind of warranty.

Is there a repair kit for this?

I am trying to keep this area dry so water won't penetrate and cause more damage.

Please help. This rig is just over one year old and I would not expect this to be happening.

I would contact your trailer manufacture and see if they can tell you if E-stone is warranted. If the manufacture can’t tell you, see if they can supply a contact number. I also have E-stone in my trailer. Let us know how you make out, and if there is a repair kit.

There is an epoxy repair kit......

Check with your local dealer if they won't warranty it.

Our E-Stone countertop was damaged when delivered last August. The dealer ordered a replacement but was advised by PTM to attempt a surface repair. The repair was unsuccesful and I took the trailer to another dealer (as we'd gone to AZ for the winter) and they were told by PTM that E-Stone was no longer their supplier. PTM have switched to a Corian-like solid countertop made by an LG company.

I now have "Corian" kitchen countertops, with 2-piece sink covers, in my Lacrosse

Thank you PTM!

I wonder why PTM is no longer using this countertop? Does this mean that those of us who are having issues are now out of luck? RV Guy could you comment?

Vendor discontinued making them. The product was very lightweight and great looking, however there were lots of complaints regarding scratches. The application is great for many types of countertops, but apparently was not able to live up to the real world use of RV'ers.

One of the benefits that we liked was that the product was very "repairable" in the field when it was damaged. A lot of "Corian" type products generally have to be replaced when it's damaged.

The vendor is addressing warranty on a case-by-case basis when it comes up.

E-Stone is very soft, I jokingly called it soap-stone.

If you look on the Crossroads owners forum there are several posts about the E-Stone being scratched from the beginning or quickly developing a swirl/scratched surface. For an option the is $800-900 it's a shame. The LG and Corian are much harder on the Rockwell scale.

Who is the vendor? Does our dealer make the contact as our rig is now out of warranty?
