My ShawDirect remote can turn the fireplace on when in the install mode. Sitting in front of the fireplace right now! With the remote beside the DW.

Never could initiate any interference from other remotes, but I did get the fireplace to work with a dollar general remote by MANUALLY searching through the ir channels. Took a chance on 10$ remote I bb linked earlier (dang shipping was as much as remote?) And it worked fine.

Im now working to program my pronto touch screen remote to replace them ALL...but its a process and lately ive had many more great ideas than time to do anything other than "general life activities".... (ie 17month old daughter and work haha)

We purchased our 2014 Crusader 295rst in August of 2013. No fireplace remote, despite the manual showing one comes with the fireplace. I called primetime & they told me they no longer order the remotes from the manufacturer. I took the drawer out of our entertainment center to be able to see the manufacturer info on the back of the fireplace & did a google search to get more company info. I called the manufacturer & the parts dept said that fireplace is supposed to come with a remote & that they'd send me one in the mail, no charge!! I got it within a week!! This was several months ago, but I can research who I called & spoke with.
