Electric Fireplace

While checking out the fireplace for the first time in our LaCrosse 324RST I noticed there was no name on it anywhere. I looked in the bundle of paperwork and nothing. Does anyone know who makes it? It also looks like there could be a remote but we didn't get one. Any help would be appreciated.

Remotes are not being shipped with the fireplaces. There were some on here that did source them, but IIRC they only turned it on and off. I am not sure if the Lacrosse use the same brand as Crusader, but if so I will be visiting our rig tomorrow at the storage yard and I can check ours for you.

there should have been a manual for the fireplace....i have a link for the original remote somewhere....ill look....it has on off and the timer settings.....like 10$....the remote didnt come with the units after the first run i dont believe....you CAN use a universal remote, but you have to manually search every ir channel till you find the one that works....and if i remember correctly it didnt work ALL the functions......

There is a manual for the fireplace. Not sure if its the same one, but check it out.

X2 on the manual for the fireplace. Our unit came with a remote; it's very handy and I would go back to my dealer and ask for one...can't imagine why FR would not include one in your unit!

Our Fireplace remote turns the fireplace off and on, sets heat levels, and sets a turn off time (that goes all the way out to 5 hours!)

Ours has no remote and is not set up to use one....wish it did!!!!

Oddly enough, Rockwood does NOT provide a convienant link to all their owners manuals as does Prinme Time...wonder why?

A fireplace remote came with our TT. I'm at work, so I can't check on the manual. I know I got one.

i think when i inquired about the remote a few years ago i was first told that the manufacturer didnt ship them with remotes......then later that the remotes interfered with other operations (tv or radio or something??)...i have like 8-9 remotes in my trailer and nothing i have interferes with anything else..?

pretty sure the prime units are all the same....the timer function lengths are preset intervals....i THINK up to 8 hrs.....if you flip the panel down on the front, you will see an ir eye on the left and then some timer interval indicators next to that....on, off, and timer intervals is all you get with the patrick unit.....id have to go look to be 100% but im 99%....lol

Force the issue with the dealer. If you have the proof then show them. If they don't go to prime time directly and complain. I bought my crusader in dec of 13 and got a remote

I didn't get a remote for our 2014 295RST. We picked it up last April. Could anyone that did get one from PT post a pic of their remote? Is it the same as the one that was linked in this thread? If so, perhaps I'll just get one.

We got a full function remote with our fireplace: 8528WIKS

Can I figure it out and use it? Nope that's what I keep him around for.

I had the same question about the fireplace remote last fall. My dealer told me that Primetime no longer provides the remote with the unit. It supposedly interferes with the tv. I can somewhat understand this as my unit (327RES) has the tv directly above the fireplace and the stereo right next to it. Agree, a working remote for the fireplace would be handy.
