Elongated toilet bowl?

Our first trip out this season we noticed that while the water pump is on (no problem when on city water) that the toilet will continue to run for a bit and add 2"-3" more water in the bowl than expected. It didn't do this before.

Googling around about it, I see that the solution is a water valve replacement.
The water valve is a $30 part. Simple enough, annoying but ok.

I've always hated the small toilet bowl and now I'm thinking why spend $30 on a part when I can get that same part in a new toilet with an elongated bowl.

I'm looking at the Dometic 320 which has an elongated bowl. Anybody else done this upgrade?

I read in another thread that someone found in a manual that a toilet may do that for 20-30 minutes after use. That seems nuts to me, it could overflow if there's enough water. It should stop when I stop telling it to add water.

Unless I read it in a manual, I'm not believing that rumor.

Does anybody have the box next to their toilet and have installed a Dometic 320? I can't tell if a 320 will hit the box or barely clear it like this 310 it already has.

I have the Dometic 310 in Bone, love it ceramic bottom and plastic seat and lid, just the way the water swirls around sometimes it splashes out but just keep your foot slightly down on the pedal and your fine

Ours will run a little, but nothing to get concerned about. Normal behavior.

I've got a Dometic 320 on order and we'll see if it fits. If a toilet runs after I let off the pedal, even if just for a little bit, and it didn't do that the past 3 seasons, that makes me unwilling to ignore it. There aren't any sensors or smarts on the toilet to know if it is overflowing. If I'm not telling it to release water into the bowl, it shouldn't release water.

I'll post pictures if it fits and a warning if it doesn't. (I know the offset is fine)

Your clearance should be fine, the one in the pic seems to be the tall unit if you ordered the same, easy change out.

They should always flow alittle after releasing petal..,.Water pressure needs to go somewhere and the rubber gasket needs a bit to act like a sink trap

Star Trek!

I'm going to be adding a Luxe Bidet Neo 185 to the Dometic 320:

Luxe Bidet Neo 185

(If you've never used a bidet you don't get to respond. It always devolves into a 'why would you want that' discussion.)

Seems like you need to run a hot water line too correct? Wouldn't want just cold water at least I wouldn't [emoji15]

I just installed one of these for a friend in a stick house. It required 110V for the seat and water heater and came with a remote control. I would think non-heat cold water would be a surprise.

This model is a non-powered cold water version. It will be chilly but still worth it. No hot water on this version.

For my house, the Toto washlets are awesome. They do require 110v but will heat the water on the fly, heat the toilet seat, and has a fan for drying (also heated). Since the RV may not always have 110v power and because I don't use the RV enough to justify the Toto prices, I'm going with the really affordable cold water Luxe Neo.

Once people try a Toto washlet, they wonder how they lived without one. I installed one at my parents and now the extended family are experiencing it and understanding the "why." My brother has asked for one for father's day.
I will admit some family members avoid that bathroom because they are intimidated by a toilet that will raise its own seat when it detects you walking in the bathroom, it will mist the toilet bowl before use, etc.
