Not purchased yet.
Will probably be the crew cab with at least the 6.5 box (not the short box).

You should be good to go with either of the first two options.

My son has an 2011 ecoboost and really likes it. He puts alot of miles on it, equally city and highway. Overall he's getting 18+ mpg. That's without towing a tt.

When are you getting the 5'er? We have owned our PT tt for almost 1Ĺ years. Completely satisfied with it. RV Guy is a member of this forum and president of PT. He helps us with any problems we may have.

Keep us up to date and remember.......
.......we love pics!

Personally, I would want the full floating rear axle that comes on a 3/4 or 1 ton truck for any 5th wheel camper.

dretired made his post while I was typing my last one.

I guess it depends on how much driving your going to do when not towing. You may want the mpg that the ecoboost gives you.

If I was in the market, I would go with the F-250 myself.

Chap, the max payload package comes with a heavier rear-end, heavier spring pack, 7 lug hubs and LT tires.

Dave..Not to get picky..Its the "HEAVY DUTY PAYLOAD PACKAGE" and the "MAX TOWING PACKAGE" some people ( not you ) are confusing them ...

Ford list a 9 3/4" rear-end with the HD payload package.

If that heavier rear end includes a full floating axle, then that is a whole different ballgame.
