Question Fireplace Operation

We used our electric fireplace for the first time last weekend. The fan only operated at one speed. I did not quite understand what one of the rocker switches operates. Now I hear that some people received remote controls with their fireplaces. We did not receive one, or an operator`s manual. Has anyone else recieved remote controls with their fireplaces? What about an instruction manual?

Thanks!

The rocker switch is because the Microwave and Fireplace are on the same circuit. Both of those appliances pull too much electricity to use at the same time.

We can get you an Owner's Manual if it is missing. Contact us thru our Customer Service link on our website: primetimerv.com

The fireplaces do not come with a remote. We believe that our vendor might have accidently included some remotes in a few shipments to us and they inadvertantly got included in the units. Unfortunately, the remotes are often on the same frequency as a TV or Radio and will turn on/off these electronics, too, when activated.

I got the manual with my fireplace and it talked about the remote. I called the dealer and they said there was no remote, it was an option. I then called the fireplace manufacturer and gave them the model number. They said it was supposed to have a remote and sent one out to me at no cost. Only problem we uncovered was that my S/N couldn't be found in their database. Anyway, the remote arrived and works great with no interferrence with other items. The remote will work only after the fireplace it turned on at the fireplace. Once the main switch is on you can control the fan speed and the fireplace lights. Doesn't adjust the thermostat. Can't hurt to make a call.

Can you provide the phone number? There was no manufacturer listed in the manual provided at delivery. It seems that some of the functions can only be operated with the remote control. We are loaded up and ready to leave after lunch tomorrow! We are looking forward to some prime time!

The unit in our rig had a manual for the fireplace. It was manu by FMI products. The phone number is 866-328-4537. All of the functions can be operated manually but only the fan speed and light intensity are operated by the remote. The remote can also turn the unit off and on once it is turned on manually. Hope this helps. Have a great trip.

Received a remote with our unit, but no manual. Not too difficult to figure out operation by playing with remote and switches on fireplace though. Also, have seen no interference from remote on radio or TV.

If you have the Model NO BLT-999A-2, go to our web site and view the Owners Manual by clicking here:

Hope this helps.
