First trip back to dealer for warranty work

Well, I took off the corners pieces and was surprised to see they were all caulked pretty well. I did not pull off the screw track but appears they used some kind if foam weatherstripping to seal behind that. I did seal over all those outer edges with more caulk and sealed the inner vertical seams where the trim meets the inside slide. I also pulled some of the screws and did not see any rust on the threads. Checked and caulked anyplace else that looked like an area water could get in. I couldn't notice anything super obvious but we'll see.Click image for larger version

Makes me sick to look at the underside of that slide. I'm just over a month out of warranty, I don't know if I call on it if they'll help or tell me I'm S.O.L.

Got the call this morning. Trailer is ready. I won't be able to pick it up until early next week. As far as time goes, I think 3 days is reasonable. Let's hope workmanship is up there too.

Reach out to prime time. Being a month out of warranty and a slide bottom that looks like that didn't just happen in the last month. They've been great with me and you have nothing to lose. Bypass the dealer and go to pt direct. Ask for Shane or roger.

I actually started the process, I called PT first and they advised I go through my dealer so they can assess the damage. Sent some pics ( to service at dealer) and waiting to hear back for an appointment. I'll keep you posted on my progress.

My year is not up, but thankfully no water issues with my unit. I have a lot of little stuff with the biggest issue being my dometic refer unit blowing a fuse on the control board randomly.

I drop it off this weekend to get the list worked on and parts ordered. Based on the list so far, the dealer says they will address all they can and let me take it for the two weekends I need it at the end of the month and bring it back to finish it all off.

Finally had an afternoon to pick up the trailer from Campers Inn. I am very pleased with the workmanship of the repairs. Some have commented that I should not have accepted the trailer with the discrepancies mentioned, but I must say, the dealer here has been pleasent and easy to work with on getting these repaired.

I looked over each of the areas and it looks to have been sealed up very well. One thing I did notice: The outside floor of the closet slide is no longer a cloth-like material, but a solid surface. I checked all of the screws I could find and they are caulked on the outside. I may pull one to see if they were pre-caulked going in.

Over all I am very pleased with Campers Inn service. Only one, small thing might improve the experience - I wish they would have washed it before returning it to me, like they do at the Ford dealer!
