We finally got our first trip in this year. I headed out to the local State Park, about 15 miles, with the pup Thursday afternoon. After getting it set up I returned home and hitched up the LaCrosse and had it set up by the time my DS & his family and my DW made it out that evening. My DD and her family made it out Friday afternoon.
Looking out the large side window on the LaCrosse.
Fish didn't bite worth a darn. I ended up giving away the few I caught to some people at the boat slips. I also had to do some repair work to our boat lift, so that cut down on my fishing time.
Weather stayed overcast most of the time, but temps were in the low to mid 70's. We had a little bit of light rain Saturday evening. It wasn't enough to stop us from roasting marshmallows over the campfire and making smores!
We took our usual walks around the campground, toured the Nature Center, took a couple of short hikes and the park had an Easter Egg Hunt for the kids. Of course we did one ouselves as well.
In all we had 6 adults and 5 kids camping in the LaCrosse and pup. I had to step over a couple of 'em on my way to my morning coffee. Just made for more fun. Maybe we should have got the 318BHS floorplan!
All in all we had a great time and as usual we all felt a little sad when it was time to break camp and head home.
