Galley tank on a Crusader lite 5th wheel

I was told by the dealer that I need to have the front of the unit 2to 3 inches lower in order to drain the galley tank. That will work if you have full hook up,but if I go to a dump station I wouldn't want to unhook. Hope someone can shed some light on this matter.

Hmm...interesting...dealer never told me that with mine. Did they give you a reason as to why?

2 seasons later and I cannot say I have had any issue emptying the tanks.

Guess you'll need to install airbags in the truck and let air out every you hit the dump...

I wouldn't worry about it...

Seems odd. But if that is the case just pull the trailer onto some 2X6s stacked a couple on top of each other to get the height. Can't think of any thing much quicker than that.

They said that the galley tank was mounted front to back.
I have air bags already installed on my truck.

Side to side or front to back the tank should have slope to the valve anyway. But they are the "experts" right?? lol

Perfect...so the truck sags a little then you can dump and then fill the bags to ride level...

Do you really fill the galley tank that much that you need every drop out of it? I barely fill mine to 1/3.

I don't have a Lite, but am sure they mount the tanks the same way. I never have any issues emptying my tanks. Then again, I don't stick a scope up inside to see if every drop is out, either.

Do you have 2 separate gray tank unloading hook ups? I ask because on my crusader light I have 2. I have a 295RK and I have no trouble dumping mine.

Like I said I don't have any problems emptying mine being level at a camp site. Is your valve opening? Maybe a problem with the valve. Have you drained it previously?

I had it at the dealer to get warranty work done, and I asked them to check it out. They changed the sensor, then they tried it ,and said it works. We haven't took it out since then.

I would send an email to Prime Time and ask. More likely there is something blocking the opening.

You could open the valve and try to run a plumbers snake to it and see if it is open or maybe get the plug out if their is one. Just so you could definitely tell the dealer it isn't open if that's what you find.

So now that it is supposedly fixed... open the sewer cap, open the galley blade valve, run water in the sink (or pour water in the sink from a bucket) and see if the water comes out. No need to take it anywhere to see if it drains.

I have a 27RK crusader lite and never a problem with the galley tank. Emptied it with TV hooked up and not. When not hooked up my camper is level. When I am hooked up, TV and 5ver may or may not be level.

What happened when you tried to empty. Did nothing come out at all? Because if the gray tank is 1/2 full or more, SOMETHING should come out or there is a warranty issue that should be fixed due to poor build.
