We bought a membership and never used it. Good Sam campgrounds are not our kind of campground. We prefer more rustic and primitive places, state forests, national forests, etc. As for roadside assistance, we buy the enhanced AAA membership which covers our RV and motorcycle; also includes extended towing. I'm much more confident of AAA personally.

We checked into mail forward, found GS was $50 less than USPS for a 3 month service period.

We did the Lifetime offer for Military a few months back. It was $149.

Thanks to all for the very helpful responses....I will be calling Good Sam Monday to sign up for the club membership...and perhaps find out what their quote is for insurance for our trailer..

We have AAA for house, car, truck and cottage. Wife does have the roadside assistance for vehicles that she is in. Does that same roadside assistance cover travel trailers or is it part of a separate policy for the trailer. I would like good coverage without going broke. As it is for us, we do have the Coach Net ERS free for one year....ends August 2013.

I just extended my one year membership to 5 years. Costs less that way. The merger of GS and Camping World is very convienient. I use Camping World regularily. Very fast shipping and free shipping if the order is more than $100.00. I also have GS Roadside Assistance. I have been satisfied with my membership.

Does that include all the unlimited towing and other services that Coach Net and Good Sam ERS provides for trailers and cars/trucks? Looks like I should contact my AAA agent before rushing into something.
