I thought someone might be interested to know that at Goodyear.com, they will match any online advertised price on their tires. I was looking to put some US made tires on my Commander and it looks like the only tires that are currently made in the USA are the Goodyear Endurance tires. (Even Carlisle, Maxxis and Goodyear Marathon are made outside the USA.) I found a set of the Endurance tires on eBay at a much cheaper price than I found them anyplace else. Since they advertise on Goodyear.com that they will match any bonafide price advertised through an online advertisement, I called to see if they would match the price for the tires that was currently being offered on eBay. They not only matched that price but actually discounted their own advertised price for the tires on Goodyear.com by 20% - which was an even better price than the eBay price. I completed the order through Goodyear.com and they sent the tires to a local tire dealer to have them installed. I actually saved over $160 total (after tires, tax, installation charges) over what those same tires would have cost at my local Discount Tire store. To save additional money, I removed the TowMax tires and wheels from my 5th wheel and took them to a local used tire store that purchases used tires and was able to get $60 for the old tires - and they removed the tires from the rims. By taking the bare rims to the tire store to have the new Goodyear tires installed, I avoided paying the $2.00 per tire tire disposal fee for another $8.00 in savings. So, by purchasing the tires on Goodyear.com and using their price match guarantee, selling the old tires and avoiding the disposal fee I actually saved almost $230 over what it would have cost at Discount Tire - whose price was the same per tire as the advertised price on Goodyear.com. Hopefully, somebody will also take advantage of this to get some decent US made tires at a substantial savings.
