I've had Goodyear Marathon's for 2 years now and I haven't had any problems. But then, I haven't had any blowouts from any OEM tires. The belt shifted or separated and I caught them prior to coming apart.

Marathons generally speaking dont have a very good reputation. Nut the same can be said for all but two ST tires. The one thing they do have in their favor is GY seems to take care of the damage.

Have run GY Marathons for over 30 years and (knock on wood) never had a flat or a blowout.

I think when goodyear was made in usa, it was a great tire. Now with them made in china it is very questionable. I put LT tires on my 3500 Sanibel, not a tire problem in almost two years. We use ours, probably 50,000 miles since new. Nothing but trouble with st tires, have set for three days in Nevada waiting for a st tire to be delivered. I also gained 1/2 mpg when I put them on. Just my two cents.

Good Luck

We had 3 blowouts in one weekend and had less than 10,000 miles on it. We put on heavier rated tires on and are very happy so far.

Do the issues with GY seem to be with heavier TTs and FWs ?
