Holes in vapor barrier in Prime Time camper
I am one of many Prime Time owners that has slide out wear issues and now I want to make Prime Time Owners aware of a serious flaw in assembly which can lead to floor failure in these campers. I was looking around under my camper and I noticed several screw holes (about every 12 to 16 inches) along the perimeter of the camper. For some reason the assembler decided to drill THRU the vapor barrier to probably hold the side walls during assembly. So now I have a bunch of holes that have been letting water in my floor while tow my camper in the rain. The vapor barrier is polypropylene and it is a difficult material to bond to. So this week I will run a few tests with different tapes (including eternabond) to see what works the best. I also sent an e-mail to Prime Time to let them know about this issue. So if you own a Prime Time camper take a look under your unit to see if you have the same problem.
