I took down the silly valances above the windows

I really do not like those valences in the bedroom of my 318bhs. The area is small, and they get knocked off easily. Last night my husband knocked it off just slightly and did not realize it. It crashed to the ground a couple hours later, waking us both up.

I took them down this morning, and replaced it with some molding that I found at the hardware store. I attached it with vercro. It was easy. It wont accept my pictures. Damn!

I wanted to take them down in our 08, but TOWTA said no. Want to take them down in our 2012 and TOWTA still says no, so I will just bite my tongue and live with the stupid things.

Because I kept knocking them down also, I took ours down for a trip too, but decided the area looked too plain without the color from the drapes. I like the molding there but would still want the drapes somehow too.

Yeah, RIGHT! That's your story and we're stuck with it, but doesn't mean we believe it!

The DW had all our curtains and blinds replaced with Roman Blinds. Simple and they work great.

Roman shades are good until the string breaks and someone(TOWTA) brings it to you and says the string broke. You then need a #%*@ Roman to restring it!!!

My wife is American Indian, do you think she will be mad tonight when I call her TOWTA? It sounds like it could be American Indian name.

Hope my DW does not read this thread, she has been nagging to take them all down, she hates them and I have been saying its not a good idea, we did the dado delete one week after delivery, that was easy and did improve the decor for sure.
