I went to home depot and purchased a spring loaded shower rod in the same decor color as the door handles. I mounted the rod on the back wall of the bathroom. No holes had to be drilled.

The towel bar was mounted to the inside of the bathroom door when we bought our new unit last June. It's loose. Sounds like they missed the solid part of the door!

Ours came with the towel bar mounted in the middle of the hollow door too...can you say stupid? We have been on three trips since purchasing it and have been watching it get looser and looser. We are in Frisco NC now and upon arrival found our towels on the floor...towel bar finally fell out completely! Time to redo it properly. Great ideas in this thread!
