Irene has left the building...carpet is wet in camper.

Minus a shutter and gutter, the house was unharmed, never even lost power. Opened the camper up yesterday and found some damp carpet. I inspected the roof, slide seals, window gaskets, etc and everything looked good. We had 50+mph winds and driving rain pretty much all day hammering that side of the camper. I'm hoping the water was just forced through the seals. The carpet is damp in the indicated area, no other water found. All the slides were in during the storm. The carpet in the slide is dry. What do you think?

I would re-check that rear window real close. You might also check up on top around the seams. Remove the trim covering the screws and make sure they're caulked good.

Hard rain with sustained high winds can cause leaks where there were none before.

Hopefully you'll get some more post with support and helpful ideas that will help.

Just looked at everything again. I'm thinking it came from the bottom slide seal in the wheel well area. The carpet on the floor was wet starting around the rear curbside wheel to the rear corner of the camper (under the overhang of the slide carpet). I know the wind was blowing hard enough under the camper that it blew my tire covers off. I'll send PT an email and see what they say.

Hope you get it resolved. Irene brushed through here with gusty winds, but not much rain. I was towing my fiver during the heavier rains, but lucklily no water infiltration.

Mine had a small leak under the wardrobe slide during a hard rain with high winds. But I had my slide open and I was out of level. High on the slide side and front.
I have had the slide open under the same conditions since with the trailer level and experienced no problems.
My experience doesn't help you much except that it does show that leaks are possible under the right conditions even if you haven't had problems before or since.

Brandon York emailed me back with in a few minutes of me emailing him. Said its possible under such extreme conditions for water to be pushed through the seals. I'll make sure its good and dry and continue to monitor it but think it was a freak occurrence.

I took mine out of harms way to a sunny place and no rain. That is a lot easier way to avoid leaks.

Had no problems - Coach just looked like I camouflaged it. Other than hosing it down to remove the leaves I didn't have any issues. We were very very fortunate not to have been impacted worse than what we received. We never lost any power just a couple times the lights blinked. Just a bunch of small branches and leaves everywhere. Our neighbor lost a big chunk of a tree but the county had it cleared off the road before 8:30 AM yesterday. About 50% of our scheduled work for today had to be rescheduled due to no power. Some of our crews are assisting the utility company guarding downed wires.

Yep double check the slide seal and the area on the corner of the trailer where the roof/gutter and aluminum corner trim meet.
