Jack and lug wrench

Dumb question but do the crusader 5th wheels (295rst te) come with a jack and lug wrench to change the tire?

Very doubtful. If you have alum wheels with recessed lugs, you will want to get a post jack, thinwall socket and a torque wrench that will go to at least 110lb/ft if you have 1/2" dia studs.

X2. No jack or wrench. I bought a 12 ton bottle jack and carry my torque wrench and socket all the time. Just be careful where you jack from. Besides, I'd rather use that jack for the truck also. Just don't trust the stock jack supplied with the truck.

Dang. I been worried about not having a dedicated lug wrench for the trailer. Speaking of harbor freight...hard to beat their cheapo torque wrench for lug nuts...don't forget to back off the clicker when finished. I carry a small jack already. Hmmm. It's only a two ton. I want one of those rampy things, but I am nervous about the pressure on one axle as I drive on...should I be?

It's best not to use a jack when changing tires in my opinion. Just use your leveling blocks to roll up onto and have more height/blocks on the front axle to allow the rear axle to hang, then change the rear tire for example.

If you have ever had a flat on the side of the interstate, you will not want to trust a bottle jack on an uneven surface...especially when an 18 wheeler rushes by and your whole rig sways a few feet. I keep a few 2x6s, some long enough for the tandem and also some just enough for one wheel. Bevel the edges to make them easier to roll onto. More stability and you will feel safer.

As a side note, I have also seen folks bend up axles or their trailer itself when they attempt to jack up 6-10 tons...

Good point. Many lug wrenches will not fit the recess. I use a deep wall socket with 2 different size hex with the lug wrench to break them free. When I went to 16" from 15" the dealer gave me the socket and lug nuts needed to tighten/remove
