Jacking and supporting Sanibel 3500

Looking at doing some wheel maintenance to my Sanibel 3500. How are others jacking up and supporting their unit to inspect/adjust brakes and lube bearings?

I do it the same way I would as if changing a flat tire except I would place a jack stand under the axel because of the time it would be off the ground.

Jack under the spring perch jack it up enough to remove some weight off the tire and loosen the lug nuts.
Jack the tire off the ground place stand next to the jack and then remove the wheel.

One wheel at a time by jacking about 6" behind the backing plate and a jack stand.
