Just purchased 2016 Prime Time 315rst

Hello all fellow Prime Time owners! We just bought a new 2016 315rst, we loved the layout especially the theater seating, and the large shower. We are picking it up next tuesday, do any of you have any suggestions on what to pay extra attention too, when we do the PDI?

I own one also and I will say that the dry pin weight of 1945 on mine was just plain wrong. I added 1100 lbs of cargo and brought to the scales and the pin weight was 2800 pounds which exceed the manufacture max cargo specs of my Chevy 2500HD by 780 lbs. That was with the equipment that stays in the trailer and not food, clothing, all tanks were empty. Seem to tow fine but I was within 200 lbs of max rear axle ratings and 120 lbs of max tire ratings - just to close for me. Replaced TV with 1 ton F350

On our inspection we found both the sink drains were not connect or leaked. Front AC unit didn't work - water in kitchen sinks had low pressure/flow - backs of the cabinets in the bathroom were not nailed in - the shades when move up they don't fold like there are suppose to - hot water had rotten eggs smell - trailer sits nose high and there isn't any adjustment left without major mods to the suspension of the 5er.

PS - The mattress is junk and we replacing our today.....

PPSS - The basement markings for the antenna/satellite were backwards. The one mark satellite is really for the cable.

Wow, that pin weight is a little scary, any one else have a problem with pin weight on this model. Sounds like a lot of other issues you had also.

Here is a link to my Cat Scale weights with the camper ready to go camping. It is hook to my F350 but trailer numbers will be the same hooked to F250 or F350.

The problem "Truck Weight Hitch" is 10,960 lbs which the GVWR of all 3/4 ton trucks is 10,000 (even with the camper option).

My F350 has GVWR of 11,500 so under by 540 lbs. Now that is fully loaded to go camping, 26 gals of diesel - wife and me in the cab - 1 weeks worth of food and clothing - all water/waste tanks empty. Only lite beer....

Actual Weights - Fifth Wheel Weights from CAT Scales - Towing Planner

Every thing with the pdi and walk through went well, we are on are shake down camping trip now. So far no issues, and we just love this floor plan, couldnt be happier. The problem with the Darco material on the bottom of the slides i have addressed with the service manager, and they already have us scheduled to bring it back in the fall when we are done camping for the fix. They use the wear plates that are installed from the factory on the Grand Design and cut them to fit on the slides of the primetime. This dealership is on the ball and has a very knowledgeable service staff. The name of the dealership is Bill Thomas Camper Sales in Wentzville Mo. I give them five stars for customer support!

I also own a crusader 315rst but mine is a 2014. We love ours and haven't had any real major issues. You sound very dissatisfied with yours. Sorry to hear.

Your posted piqued my interest. If the planets align I should be able to hit the scales this weekend with my 315 and will post results. Shame on me, but I have never had it on the scales.
