Key Fob ?
Our Lacrosse 318BHS did not come with the keyfob for the keyless entry. Does anyone know if we can purchase these separate?
Thanks
Amy

Our 303RKS has a keypad. You punch in a code to lock/unlock. Just like a car only it does not have a key fob.

Old pictures found in ads showed a key fob when the Lacrosse was first sold. In fact, in one pdf, titled "Best In Class" showed a keyfob. It listed 40 ways the Lacrosse was best in class. It may still be downloadable off PT's website. Sometime between the product launch and the Fall of 2011, Prime Time stopped providing a keyfobs. I am sure that you could get one. I think Lippert actually has them.

I was told PT originally did key fobs but no keypad, but then went away from the fobs and starting doing the keypad.

The PDF file I downloaded was where I discovered the FOB. Just thought it would be handy. I am not liking the keypad, it never seems to work. Takes me 3 or 4 tries to get the thing to lock and unlock. Love the idea but the actually functionality not so much.
We are headed out for our first trip this weekend to work out any bugs before the big trips - crossing my fingers - all goes well.

I think alot of us are having the same problem. As of right now, mine doesn't work at all. It lights up when I put in the code but doesn't lock or unlock.
I waiting on my dealer to order parts. There are a couple of other minor issues so I'm trying to get it all done at once.
PT is ready to ship whatever I need, it's my dealer who is dragging their feet!
Good luck on your trip!

As of yesterday, that is the same thing that is happening to me. Thought was the battery so we charged the main battery. Keypad is not lighting by isn't doing anything. So I printed out the directions just to make sure I am doing everything right.
Sounds like we are experiencing the same problem. Did they tell you what might be wrong? I am going to wait until after the trip this weekend before I call them, just to make sure I don't end up with a "list".

Mine DOES light up, just doesn't do anything when I put in the code.
Southco, the keypad maunfactuers, told me it probably needs to be re-programmed. They told me it's simple to do and they could guide me over the phone, but the window in the door has to be removed to do that. At the time I didn't have any caulk and I was concerned about warranty issues so I decided to wait and let my dealer handle it.

All this time I thought we all had keyfob's (except for the Crusader). My keyfob works everytime (except for the one time when I had to clean the contacts) even after having the coach battery out all winter. I put the battery in last weekend and the keyfob worked!!!
Maybe a solution would be to convert the keypad type to keyfob locks.

My keypad was DOA during the walk through. The technician spoke with tech service of the manufacturer and that said they had problems with moisture getting in the keypad. Since I was a little skeptical, I insisted on checking the wiring. We found the one leg of the wiring in the door had no continuity. After tugging a little, the wire pulled all the way out! 5 minutes later, the technician used a real cool trick to pull new wiring through the solid core door.
After all that, the technician ordered a new keypad and fob. I just received the fob in the mail 2 days ago. This message has reminded me to check on where the keypad is now.

I picked up our new LaCrosse this past Friday and found the keypad to be dead. Didn't check it at the walk through, just figured I would need to program it with my own code. After finding the one sheet manual, which is lacking much information, decided to change the battery. Not a very well thought out placement as now it is sitting in a drawer until I reinstall it with double sided tape. After changing the dead battery it now works perfectly. Really wish there was a better way to change the battery without peeling it from the side of the trailer and removing the eight tiny screws that if dropped at a campsite are gone for ever. As far as the key fobs go, may just try to find the frequency of the wireless keypad and find a fob with the same and have both.

Been over a month now and 3 visits still no keyless entry...seems the Dealer nor PT has a good fix on this item, not a good thing if it don't work....but a good Selling point till you buy it.
