Labor Day plans

What's everyone's plans for Labor Day? We'll be at Buccaneer State Park in Waveland, MS. Never been. Heard it was real nice before Katrina. The RV campground has been repaired, but the water park is still closed. Have a safe and enjoyable weekend.

We are going to Hickory Hill in Bath NY. We go there Memorial day weekend, Labor day weekend and then a few more through the summer. It's one of our favorite places to go. We have some friends from PA there that are seasonal with kids the same ages as ours. It's 2 hours away so it's not too bad to get to.

We're not able to camp Labor Day weekend since my wife has to work, but we have reservations at Marval Family Resort the 9th & 10th. My DIL, DD and all 5 grandchildren will be joining us so we have also rented a cabin.
It's a great campground with lots of activities for kids and grown ups. It's also their annual Granparents/Grandkids weekend, so I know we'll have lots of fun.

Here's a few pics taken in the campground March 2010.

Planning to take the kids to Queen Wilhelmina State Park and stay at the lodge there, near Mena Arkansas.

Part of our itinerary is to drive over to Poteau, OK and see a drive-in movie which my youngest has never been, and my oldest has only been to one.......as there are none operating in LA. Hope the weather cooperates and the popcorns good.

East Lynn Lake, Wayne WV - we head out on Wednesday - taking the munchkin out of school early - but he is excused - we are making it an educational trip - hee hee - you know home economics = smores, bike riding = PE, trash pic up - saving the environment...got lots of little fun activities planned for him to do.

Oh and the camp site will be in full swing for college football - WVU/Marshall game. Bet you can never guess who I am rooting for

Hate it when that happens.
Get all geared up ready to go and something out of your control cancels everything.

Hopefully the next one will work out okay.

Sitting at home this weekend, just home from a 6 state 3 week trip! Almost cried seeing all my neighbors leaving with their campers but the TS headed this way is ugly. Enjoy all!
