I've owned my LaCrosse 303RKS for 8 months now. Since PT is relatively new and there's not as much input from owners compared to other brands, I thought I would give a report on how well mine is doing so far. Just in case some of you are interested.
One drawer guide was deffective, and PT promptly replaced it.
The Keyless Entry quit working. Really never worked correctly. PT replaced it and it has worked perfect since.
Shower door and awning needed adjustment. Covered under warranty repair.
I did have a small amount of water enter under the wardrobe slide a couple of times, but the wind was blowing really hard and I had the front and street side a little high. Since then I have made sure if the tt isn't perfectly level, the curb side is a little high. I haven't seen any water since. I check the tt after every rain and washing.
The swivel chairs and sofa are the usual rv type, but comfotable enough for us. I rest on the sofa when my back is giving me problems. The carpet and uphostery are a better grade than what you find in most tt's in this price range.
We added an egg carton style foam pad and a quilted mattress pad to the mattress and it works well for us.
Stout tt. I don't think you can ever completely get rid of the tt movement when set up for camping, but this is the most solid tt I've owned.
Other than that, everything is as it should be.
Same appliances as any other tt. I've only used the water pump while winterizing, but it worked great then.
The water heater quit on me the first trip out this year. It was the circuit board. PT promptly replaced it.
The tv was a Legend. It didn't have a very good tuner. I replaced it with a Vizio and picked up 3 times the channels I was getting. With that being said, the Jensen omni-directional antenna is nice since you don't have to crank it up or down or turn it to tune in stations, but it doesn't have the range that a batwing does. We're happy as long as we can pick up the local weather.
The Jensen DVD/Stereo has worked great so far. No problems.
The furnace warmed the tt well earlier this camping season. Temps were in the mid 30's at night.
Stove and oven work great.
We camped a few weeks ago in 100º+ temps. The fridge kept things cold and the AC kept the tt cool. Never got warmer than 78º inside.
I don't know if it's the EZ Tow axles or the Equa-Flex suspension or the combination of both, but the tt tows very easy. No sway at all. I've towed in rain & wind gusts 30 mph+ with no problem.
I've had no problems making tight turns or backing the tt with the EZ Tow axles. Tires are wearing evenly.
Obviously we wouldn't have bought this tt if we didn't like the looks of it. I Still do. The high gloss fibreglass is very easy to clean and looks great. I haven't had any black streak problems.
When people step in the tt for the first time, the most common statement I hear is, "Wow!"
PT does have a few features not found on most tt. Swing Away Rear Bumper Grill Mount, "E" Stone Countertops, Universal Docking Station, Slam Shut Baggage Doors, Keyless Entry. All are great!
The MAX Slideout (largest in it's class) has plenty of room. This is the first tt I have seen where you have more than enough room to pull the chairs out from the dinette table, both sides!
Everything is easy to get to. Haven't had any problems so far.
FANTISTIC!!!! Just read the post on this forum.
I would give my PT LaCrosse an A. I definetely would buy one again.
So how are your PT trailers doing?
