Lacrosse 318BHS Questions.. need advice

We purchased a 318BHS that will be in storage for 6 months before we use it. I want to add 2 items that Lacrosse, in their FAQS, stated they do not support. I know that there are usually ways around a lot of things.

I want to add a rear bumper hitch to carry a cargo tray and want to add a rear ladder. Does any one have any advice or has anyone been successful in adding these items?

I'm pretty sure that where there is a will there is a way. With that being said though, from what I've read in previous forums is if you make any modifications to the frame then you will more than likely void any and all warranties with the trailer. So I am sure you can do something but be careful. I have a 318bhs as well and an access ladder would be great because i like to get up on the roof and sweep the slides off before I retract the slides. However I am not willing to take the chance in damaging something by installing a ladder. I have a collapsable ladder that I use and it is easy to store.

Rear ladder aint gonna happen. The necessary wall bracing is not could put one....i wouldent want to climb it. Lol

As for the rear cargo. It could be done with proper frame/bumper bracing....and YES ABSOLUTELY it would void your warranty...

Sorry......i do agree tho , a ladder would be Nice!!!!

Same thing I said about our Tracer 3150BHD. We bought a 12ft telescoping ladder and keep out from the time we arrive til when we leave to clean sticks and leaves off the slide outs. Works well and since we can't mount one on permanently it's about as good as its going to get.
