Lane furniture

We are in the process of placing our order for a LaCrosse 318BHS and are getting the additional upgrades that Primetime is offering right now. One of the upgrades is a Lane sofa sleeper. The dealer says the sofa is made of imitation leather. I am nervous about how that will look and wear although it is probably better than cloth. Does anyone have the Lane sofa and can you give me any feedback?

PS: we are also ordering the 50 amp service with the dual A/C's.

I would go with the cloth. Heat and cold affected the imitation stuff. Our Euro chairs in previous rig started shedding after a few years. Replaced them with Lay Boys

My wife has a long list of reasons why she prefers cloth to leather (like) material. I have no opinions my self on such things so I use her's. (and she is usually right!) She sez cloth is better because:
  • it wears better
  • show wear less leather
  • not not in summer or cold in winter
  • less likely to get holes it it from dog nails or other puncture sources.

FWIW - the Heritage Collection from Lane uses the exact same fabrics that are used in several of their residential lines including product that they sell to Macy's and other fine department stores. Here's some lit from their marketing department:
