LED Interior Conversion

I am a big fan of LED lighting for power consumption and heat. I refuse to pay the prices some vendors want for bulbs and have been experimenting over the past two years with the China bulbs on Ebay. I finally found the perfect bulbs on my 3rd try and thought I would pass on the link.

The main reason I like these is the color spectrum more closely matches halogen bulbs. They are rated at 2800-3200K not the 4-5K usually seen. They are also 30-5050 SMD LED, Warm White bulbs and plenty bright. At 36 bucks for a 10 pack they are a great deal. 2 weeks from China to my door.

My 250 Air is now full LED inside and out.

Aviators all came with all LED lighting three years back. Makes a huge difference in amps. If I turn on all the lights in my unit, the draw is .47 amps and plenty of light. That's 10 lights.

Thumbs up

Recently purchased a new TT and swapped out all the standard fixtures with new LED fixtures. Main reason to swap fixtures and just not the bulbs was OEM fixtures were off or both sides on. New fixtures are off, one side or both sides. With the LEDs, one side gives plenty of light, but if my tired eyes need more light I just turn on both sides. Got them on sale at CW, but worth it to me.

As noted, LEDs draw so much less power and give WAY more light. I will not go back to standard bulbs. Also agree, WARM WHITE is the way to go. The WW don't give me a headache like the Daylight White do.

Good to know someone has found a decent replacement. THANKS for the info.

Bill

No problem...Trust me I had some trial and error. First set made the trailer look like a operating room!

Stupid question - the base of the bulbs in our TT don't look like that. The base is round and has a small protuberance. Like this:

Will those bulbs from e-bay work for me?

Not the ones I posted. You will have to find an equivalent with your base type. That looks like something along a 1152 bulb but I'm not certain. If you know the base you could then search for that base with same led specs as the ones I posted.

And there are no stupid questions when modding your rig.

I just replaced mine with 921 194 25-3528 SMD LED Bulb Lamp Warm White Super Bright. Got them from Amazon for $24 for 10. Got them overnight (did not order overnight shipping). They are a little brighter than the stock bulbs they replaced, but not by much. I went to my local dealer and he wanted $20 each. I know he has to make a profit, but that's a little high. Amazon wins this round of upgrades.

I have tried those bulbs as well. I found them to be dim. The ones I posted have a better color spectrum IMO and have 30-5050 SMD LED.
