LEDs?

We would like to start putting LEDs in our 318BHS. My goodness, there are a lot of lights.

According my research, the bulbs above the dinette are 1156, which give out 400 lumens. The ceiling lights are 921, and give out 264 lumens. There are 21 of those. There are some other lights around, which I am not thinking about right now.

We changed the porch light to LED last year, because it kept blowing out. We are happy with the results. But, we bought it at the local RV store and it was about $20.

There seem to be an abundance of less expensive LEDs out there - in the less than $10 range. But, it is comparing apples to oranges. They almost always are lower in lumens. I am also not sure about warm/cool and natural. But I think we want warm.

Has anyone updated their lights to anything useful and reasonably priced? Or should I wait another year?

Thanks.

I'd be curious to know what the various FR brands are using as they seem to be switching to LED's on a lot of their models. You can be sure that they's found a reasonable cost supply.

Lots of threads on the forum, but anything over 6 months is probably no longer relevant as this is a rapidly changing market. Lots of dead or irrelevent links in those threads. Lots of noise.

I was just hoping someone has actually found something recently that worked well and was cheap.

Do us a favor and pop a cover if you have access to the camper and tell us the manufacturer and part number(s).

I've been looking into the same thing. I'm just going to change the bulbs, but one of the online RV stores was selling special LED light FIXTURES! Made me pause for a second before realizing the bulbs work in any outlet - ergo the benefit is found in the bulb, not the outlet and these guys were just trying to make money.

I'm thinking of ordering some of the online bulbs from .... i looked for the link and can't find it. I'll go look again - some chinese place I heard about on here. If I find it, I'll post it below

They were supposed to be cheaper, but just as good as any other
