X2 Definitely sounds like the 12v wires to the slide have been pinched and/or cut. Quite sure all wiring runs from the frame and are held up by "straps" as the slide goes in and out. The slide out motor is located under the main floor of the TT at the end of the ram/gear assembly therefore, not affected.

One more thing.....are there amber marker lights on the outside of the slide and if so, are they or it working?

The running lights on the slide work but the front door light on the opposite side stopped working.

Looking at our trailer, it looks like those lights are on a fuse in the panel. It is a second fuse from the bottom. If the fuse is burned out the LED next to it will be lit. So best thing is to look at the panel.

Just solved the same problem

I just had the same problem with my Forest River 5th wheel. None of the fuses were blown, but my daughter informed me that the lights flickered before they went out. I then pulled the switch out of the wall and started pulling the wires up and sure enough, the wire nut holding the 4 wires together was completely burned up. After cutting them past the burn and giving them about 1/4 inch of wire, I checked the ohm reading to each of the lights it was powering and they all came out perfect, so I'm guessing the installer just didn't tighten the wire nut enough and it was arcing, eventually causing it to burn up. Works like a charm now.

We recently had an issue with the lights in the slide on our 295RST. Turned out to the clasps that hold the fuse on in the converter. It was very hard to see at first.
