Some people prefer to put it on the poss. side, some on the ground. For me the ground side was easiest, and works fine. When you take the ground away you no longer have a completed circut. So nothing is powered up in the coach. Works fine for me, be doing it like that for years. I am sure someone can chime in and tell me why I am wrong, but works for me.

your not wrong - it is preference but there is always a big debate on this.

When I installed my Blueseas battery disconnect I cut the positive off but could have done the negative so either way would have worked to get the same result.

The switches are made for Marine applications and I think the reason why they take the positive side off in a Marine application is because if there is ever a spark due to gas fumes or what have you they take away the + or positive side away.
