Lock Arm Stabilizing Bars

I have a Crusader 2012 290 RLT that I thinking of putting on a set of Bal Lock Arm Stabilizing Bars on. I would like to dampen the movement while set up and I understand that the lock arm bars will help a lot. I was wondering if anyone has put them on their unit and whether the enclosed under carriage presented a problem with the installation. I would sure hate to puncture a tank or a electrical line.

I too made my own for about $54 at Home Depot. I used 3 ea 4" galvinized angle iron that has holes/slots drilled the length of the angle iron and 6 each 4" strap/standard hinges. I cut 1 piece in half and used that between the bottom of the rt rear jack and the frame going forward, and the other 2 pieces of angle iron going from bottom pad of rear jack to top of jack mount on the other side going accross the back of the trl. I used the hindges to attach the angle iron to the jacks and frame at both ends of both bars, then 1/2" bolts and nuts to bolt the bars together 2 for each bar. They work great to stop the shimmy shake of the trl, that and the wheel locks.

I made my own as well, very similar to the Bal Lock bars.
They work very well, but I sure wouldn't pay what the sellers want for them. Including all of the swivel ball-joint ends and tubing, I made mine for less than a hundred bucks.

Would you by chance have pictures? I'm having difficulty visualizing this. I would be very interested to see how you set this up.

Trl buried under snow right now that and I'm not techno at all and just haven't been able to post pics yet.Basicle though I have two stabilizing bars one going diagonally left to right at the rear jacks one end mounted on the jack pad and the other end mounted at the jack mount. The 2nd bar runs from the bottom of the rt/hand rear jack diagonally up to the frame where I had a bolting point. Each bars consists of 2 bars that I bolt together in the center. The bars extent as the jacks are lowered thus the need for the bolts.
