maiden voyage in progress question

2012 3150bhd...30 gallon grey water tank... after 2 navy showers and a sink of dishes, our grey water tank says it is 2/3 full. With a family of 5 I'm sending the rest to the shower house... does this water level seem typical? No blue tank yet and don't want to dump until tomorrow. Thanks all.

Sounds possible. Those sensors are a nice reference but in no way accurate. All depends on where the guy at the factory drills the hole in the tank.

So, should all 5 of us be able to take navy showers w/o filling it up?

Wife and I have a 30 gallon grey tank, 3 showers max if washing any dishes, brushing teeth, washing hands etc. Our tank does get full on the 4th shower, and shower pan holds water. so my indicator light is within reason.

impossible for anyone else to know how much water you use during a shower but 5 people can use 30 gallons of water fairly quickly.

I thought there would be a little wiggle room when the tank read full. I had been checking the levels very often so I knew when it went from 2/3 to full. I decided to go ahead and pour a 1/2 pitcher of tea down the kitchen sink only to see it come up in the shower.

If the family is going ahead with the Navy showers just be prepare to do a little spring cleaning if things don't work out. I can't say that there will be enough room or not for that many quickie showers let alone any running water in the sinks.

You use more water than you think with dishes and just brushing teeth & washing faces and with 5 it won't take long to fill up the grey tank. We shower at the shower house and there are just 2 of us.

I sometimes use a dishpan in the sink for washing dishes then dump it into the toilet which reduces water in the grey and adds soap to the black. I doubt that a few dishpans of water would matter in your situation though.
