Maiden voyage starts tonight!

Daughters 4th birthday and it comes on the same day as we head out on our maiden voyage with the new TT. Quick trip about 45 minutes away just to iron things out. Wish us well on the shakedown!

Good luck and have fun - that 3150 looks awesome behind your SUV.

RV Guy is taking a 318 LaCrosse out this weekend on it's maiden voyage as well. When things don't go well with the RV's performance you can only imagine the grief I get from my family - oh, boy

So, for all of those people who say, "why don't the people who build these things ever use them" . . . we are going to do some more learning this weekend!

That's funny - I'm going to learn how to do that (in my spare time).

I will have pics - don't worry.

My first two trips went o. k.; about 700 miles home from dealer, and about a thousand or so to Moab, Utah. On second trip, only a light fixture fell apart. On third trip this spring to Texas, all Hell broke loose. Wayne

Have fun and be safe. Make sure you check all the systems out well, and no better person to check things on the inside like a four year old. My first trip was used to find the little things that needed to be repaired or replaced. Again enjoy your trip.

In addition there will be her little sister at 19 months and her big brother at 6. Should be fun. Little one will sleep in the pack-n-play and the other two in the bunk house on the bottom bed. Still a lil leary of the heights back there for them.

Thanks for the well wishes and pics will be posted when we get back.... no damn devices on this trip PERIOD! It's campin time!

We made it. Everything was great. Pictures will follow soon enough. Couple thoughts and questions for RVGuy if you read this.

1. The rear bunk house sofa, the bottom square kick panels, where if you were sitting down you would kick them, why do those corners have to be so damn sharp!!! Traveling with youngsters I may have to rip these out and round them off.

2. Are metal snaps really that expensive? It took our 19 month old about 10 seconds to have all 3 buttons from between the sofa and dining table in her mouth. The plastic ones really didn't hold worth of $!#/ so we simply removed the buttons until I can get find some metal snaps to fix.

3. Again, the corners. Why do they have to be so sharp between the sofa and dining table. Why not finish them with a rounded corner?

4. Under the sofa is already plummed for 2 drawers, was this an option on my 3150? I would really like to utilize the space but would have to remove the entire piece of fabric that is stapled a bazillion times on the one side. If they were an option can I order the drawers?

All been told the trailer was great. The outdoor kitchen got quite a few comments and passers by wanting to check it out. The grill is awesome! The fridge outside was great, A/C was pumpin, antenna (when amplified) picked up about 60 stations. We can't wait to get back out there this coming weekend.

Oh, we are putting in a residential mattress in, the foam just doesn't set well with the DW.

Good comments - we will look into all of the suggestions and keep on getting better!

There is not an option for drawers under the sofa so you aren't missing anything.

Wasn't the fabric under the sofa velcro'd at the bottom for access?

No, it's stapled top and bottom which is why I was disappointed. I can't use the space unless I rip all of those staples/nails out and then do some velcro thing.

Appreciate a manufacturer acknowledging suggestions... sure gives me "warm and fuzzies"!

You guys kill me with your funny sign-thingies.

The trip was good and I continue to learn things about the products we build and how customers want to use them.

I do have lots of pics that will be posted soon. Little busy at work with Sanibel and Avenger!

If you're curious, I posted quite a few pics on our Facebook page during the trip and received alot of good feedback.
