M109Rrider I use a bottle jack also. Just a thought, I welded a piece of SCH 80 pipe that i cut in half so it will wrap around the bottom of my axle, works great and pretty soild when lifted up. I got the idea when i had one shift once without a tire. A bit scary

How does the half of the pipe affix to the top of the bottle jack? I was going to use a block of wood, but this might be a better solution.

I was thinking Grey PVC SCH 80 pipe... Don't know how you would weld PVC to a bottle jack. That's why I was seeking clarification. Assuming it was metal SCH 80 would make sense.

I use my big floor jack at home and haven't needed to use the bottle jack along side the road yet. I'll use a block of wood if i can or jack on a u bolt if the wood doesn't work. I figure when it happens i'll do what I gotta do
