Unhappy Man, Oh Man, Oh Man!

It's only November, less than a month since I winterized the tt and I'm already showing signs of DCD (Deprived Camping Disorder).

The doctors around here have no clue on how to treat this condition!

Anyone out there know of a good home remedy for DCD?

It's gonna be a long winter.

Boy Scouts... winter camporee, winter bushwack etc... I'll miss the comforts of the TT, but I still get to camp.

That sounds like fun, as long as one of those boys would blow up the air mattress for me!

Does remind me when my son and I use to tent camp. We had a lot of fun back then.

Answer: Head West for the winter, that will heal all your winter ailments.

Maybe in a little over 4 years from now.

Until then I've got to stick around here and do the 40 hour a week thing.

How's that go...been there-done that.. I know what you mean and waiting to retire seems to take forever..it'll happen before you know it then you can go hide in the winters.

I know it seems like forever now, but when the time gets here and I look back it will probably seem like a flash in the pan.

While being somewhat "out of commission" for almost 2 months now, I have discovered a few things that help. While not a cure, they do help to ease the symptons.

Watching movies like;
RV starring Robbin Williams
The Long Trailer starring Lucy & Desi

Even some old TV shows like:
Marty Stouffer's Wild America
and even Daniel Boone starring Fes Parker

Researching and planning camper mods. In another month or so when I'm up to it I can actually install any I come up with.

Hope this helps others who suffer from DCD.

I got your cure: GO CAMPING!!! You're in OK, right? As long as there's no ice/snow go for it. It's not that cold. Flushing the lines and re-winterizing isn't that big a deal.

We're in Dallas. Just went to a Corps or Engineers park south of Cleburne (Kimball Bend Park) for the weekend. A little chilly outside, but toasty warn inside! Best part: it was OUT OF DALLAS!!! Actually, the best part was our friends -- they were on their maiden voyage, having just bought a used 21 foot Airstream on Friday. They're hooked :-)

Keep on campin'
