Manual Over-Ride on Dometic Electric Awning

According to the instructions in the service manual there is supposed to be a strap provided. I didn't get one with my Crusader.

I first heard of it when I read the manual.
It was missing from my 5th wheel as well.
I need to call Dometic and see if they will send/sell me one.

I'm pretty sure my strap came with all my paperwork, but I need to double check.

They sell the straps at most RV stores. Mine was buried in the manuals also.

After doing some homework on this I've found that the straps are included with the Owner's Manual for the awnings as some of you are indicating. If you didn't get one, check with your dealer. It's not uncommon for the warranty paperwork and owner's manuals to be pulled from the unit by the dealer and returned during delivery. It wouldn't be a huge surprise if these straps became misplaced at times.
