Mattress Discussion

First, thanks to all regarding help with all the stupid newbie questions.

Had the 318bhs out overnight and the mattress was better than expected but not awesome. We decided that we need a mattress topper. Costco offers the Novaform and Sams's the ComfortZen. How do folks like the one that they bought and is it possible to cut these down to size? If it is memory foam with gel and you cut it down, does the gel leak?

Thanks again to all.

Bought the Novaform from Costco.
Made in USA and has no odor at all. It is just foam, no gel.
We love it!!

Bought exactly the one you're talking about and cut it down to size no problem. Works great!

got 2 of the costco ones, no gel. like it the camper so much got one for the house.

didn't cut it down - it comes with a cover that goes over it and the mattress to hold it in place. that's all we used. the few inches 'extra' length isn't an issue for us in our camper.

We have the one from Costco and love it. Had to get one for the house. Then the boys both wanted (and got) them for their beds at home. It was cheaper than buying them new matresses.

Strangely the boys like the bunks in the camper with the thin matresses the camper came with.

DH picked up the 4" half memory foam half high density foam; it fits just right and is super comfy. Got at Walmart.

We got 3.5" Novaform from Costco. We cut it with an electric knife. Tonight's the test run!!! We'll report back.

I only kneeled on the mattress and realized it was WAY too firm for my liking. I immediately went mattress shopping at Costco. Ended up getting an low profile airmattress ($49) and added a gelfoam topper ($138). Super comfy!
