Great to hear but I'm jealous too. I was at the dealer last December looking at a Rockwood with checkbook ready when a Cougar 303RLS arrived. Bought it in an hour after it arrived at the dealer. Jealous as the Montana would be great but way beyond the payload of my 2016 F250 6.7. This will be the last towable ~~ probably a Charleston, at least that is what we are planning.

Unless the RV has the "Full Body Paint" option, it's more than likely a colored fiberglass/gelcoat process.

fadded cap

I had the same problem with my Crusader. Rick at PT needed photos of the problem from my dealer then he sent them the decals. My dealer got the paint done and applied the decals. The finished job looks great.
The replaced decals are somewhat different from the originals but still look good.
What I understand is that the supplier of these dark coloured caps realizes that there was a bad batch of these caps produced and has extended the warranty to 30 months for repair.

So I got my front cap replaced due to fading and cracking. Prime time stepped up to the plate and took care of me. No complaints only praise. I have to wonder though if the new cap will last longer than the old cap. Mine is 2 weeks old so I certainly don't have a clue. Any one else have a clue yet. Mine was not paint red but replaced.

No one knows at this point if the cap supplier has changed their process enough to avoid the problem. All you can do is the same as those of us with painted caps-- apply regular wax and hope for the best.

Has anyone thought about or done a vinyl wrap instead of painting the nose cap? Not sure how it would work but it seems that they are able to wrap anything these days.

Nothing I considered. Likely cost the same. Don't see an advantage over paint/clear/wax.

Exactly. Decals are same material and they seem to deteriorate especially on the front cap.
